My name is Evette Temple and I am running for Lacey City Council Position 6.  I am honored to have received so much support from our business leaders, our community and others as I start this journey.

 

I have been a resident of Thurston County for the past 16 years. I was a single mom who raised 2 children. It hasn't always been easy; I've had challenges with my oldest child who suffers from addiction. I have had many people ask me over the years why I volunteered so much. It is because I have lived through a lot and a long time ago, I had received help. I believe in Community, making where you live a better place. I am the behind-the-scenes gal who never needed or wanted recognition. All I have ever wanted and want now is to live in a safe community, healthy community and a vibrant community. I am running because I want to see Lacey stay Lacey.
